Adopted by the military during the World Wars. The trench coat has seen an evolution of change in society, but has been able to keep its traditional aesthetic.

Through an evolution of social change the natural world has suffered dramatically. Inspired originally by iceberg melt lines, to the first explorers that ventured on to the frozen ice caps and the fundamental layers of clothing that ensured their survival. The creation of a functional and practical hybrid garment, constructed of layers, reflects the journey I have taken.
